Please note: as there have been changes both in the coppermine files and the database from previous versions to cpg1.5.x, users of older versions than cpg1.5.0 will have to apply all steps mentioned below: both the files have to be replaced and the script has to be run once. Major releases have so far been cpg1.0, cpg1.1, cpg1.2.x, cpg1.3.x, cpg1.4.x and cpg1.5.x.
Major releases contain new features (compared to the previous major release), minor releases do not contain new features, but only bug fixes and slight improvements (like additional language files).
The next major release will be cpg1.6.x (which currently is in the dev pipeline - no scheduled release date yet) - you're just reading the docs for cpg1.5.x.
Minor releases (the third number in the version numbering scheme) represent updates, also known as "maintenance releases".
Updating Vista Photo Gallery is done via the application’s main screen and doesn’t require a visit to the Microsoft website. Click “Start,” “All Programs,” then “Windows Photo Gallery” to launch the application. If an update is available, a dialog box containing the heading “An update to Windows Photo Gallery is available” appears immediately after Windows Photo Gallery launches. Respond to the on-screen prompts in the Web browser window that opens to complete the update process.
Click “File” and “Exit” to close Windows Photo Gallery and then reopen the application for the update to take effect.
The application lets you quickly prepare pictures taken with your company’s digital camera and share them with associates via email or the Internet.
Vista Photo Gallery, like other Windows applications, includes a built-in update function that downloads the latest version of the program when it is available from Microsoft.
Then browse to the location of the file(s) on your computer and upload.
You need to click on Insert into Post (which will insert a full size picture into the post, rather than the thumbnail).
Windows Live Photo Gallery is a picture manager program.
