As if that weren’t already awesome news, she’s got more excitement on the way. That just in itself makes me feel a lot more confident and a lot more safe. Adam and I, we haven’t lived together, so we’re going through that right now. He’s moving into my place and one of the main things that we’re going through right now is that I don’t want him to feel like a visitor. We’re kind of going through the transition where you say “my place” and then you’re like, “no, wait, it’s our place.” Plus, saying “my husband”, that feels amazing too. When Adam and I did our first dance, because we did a really funny one. I have naturally curly hair, but a lot of my ex boyfriends always liked it straight. I don’t ever want him to think that he’s not getting everything at home -- love, attention, encouragement, a meal.
The couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Aden John Tanner Houseley, in November.
After her honest admission, Tamara was quick to note she's not any less experienced when it comes to her bedroom skills, boosting about her breadth of knowledge when the ladies from And pal Adrienne Bailon also jumped to Tamera's defense."Just because you only had sex with one person doesn't mean you're not a freak, and I think that that's a good thing," she says.
Now in its second season, the series follows new mom and book author Tia and newly-wed Tamera, who’s expecting her first child in October, as the two balance family and their acting careers. I know you’ve had a chance to watch Tia go through her pregnancy with [her son] Cree, so you’ve been able to know what to expect.
In an interview with EBONY.com, Tia talks her future on the hit BET show and both ladies gush about motherhood, sisterhood, love and marriage. But what has been the most surprising thing you’ve experienced while being pregnant? That’s a very good question because you go through a lot.
Especially as soon as your engagement photos hit the net. I didn't feel like we have put them out--I was just shocked that some people still feel that way. They did a poll recently and 83% of Americans are OK with interracial relationships. And Carolina Herrera exemplifies elegance..I felt like a woman. And Adam's family, of course, paid for the traditional stuff they're supposed to pay for-- like the rehearsal dinner and all of that. I always wanted to know a bride's thoughts the very next day. What was the very first thing you did the next morning as Mrs. Brush your teeth extra happy...him breakfast....what? Honestly, I woke up the most peaceful I have ever been in my entire life. [Laughs] Another thing is, carry your memories with you of why you two are getting married. I watched Nick Lachey and Vanessa Manillo's wedding and she was emotional too.
I never expected that kind of negative response to us. And even after being intimate, we decided as a couple to be celibate until the wedding. What were the rest of the things--so our brides can get ideas. And......(cracks up laughing) Adam and I had waited for a while to..know......[trails off with laughter]. And carry a clear mind--make sure you're totally present. That is beautiful and dope," she added as Tamara nods her head in approval.Mowry-Housley also dished on hyphenating her last name after tying the knot, admitting she does intend to one day legally change her surname."Well this is the way I see it, I've worked really really hard for Tamera Mowry," she explains."I will eventually change my name to be Tamera Housley, but I'll be Tamera Mowry—that's going to be my acting name."Despite Tamera's busy schedule, the actress has been enjoying life as a new mom, and she's even shared a few sweet photos of her bundle of joy on social media.Because we LOVE a good wedding around these parts...
