Update: Amber Tamblyn and David Cross’s baby’s name has been revealed — by way of a “congratulations” letter from Hillary Clinton, nbd. The actress and poet wrote in a caption for a photo of Clinton’s letter, “The one day I decide to put mascara on Hillary Clinton sends us this letter for our daughter.
It was not sweet, it was very decadently, creamy, fatty, creamy. Later, Cross posted another picture of his daughter, joking that she looked like an old man from Brooklyn who sells furs.
When they announced Marlowe's birth back in February, they joked that her name was going to be "Dauphinoise Petunia Brittany Scheherazade Von Funkinstein Mustard Witch RBG Cross Tamblyn-Bey jr," which sort of has a nice ring to it.
Crazy things happen between a couple parenting a new infant, usually bringing them closer together as they brave their new world of diaper changes, sleepless nights, and countdowns to a time they might get to shower. Like David Cross, who tried wife Amber Tamblyn's breastmilk — and "loved it." Cross and Tamblyn married in 2012 and welcomed their daughter in late February — and apparently the new dad was getting a bit curious about this whole breast milk thing. The couple seems to have this whole parenting-with-a-sense-of-humor thing down.
Tamblyn told that she sort of tricked him into it at first. The director explained that it was in the name of keeping tiny Marlowe safe.
“My heart is as full as this diaper I’m about to change.
Thank you, Hillary, grandmother to us all.” The one day I decide to put mascara on Hillary Clinton sends us this letter for our daughter. A letter from one spectacular woman who has lived so much to another who has only just begun.I used to be in love with Manhattan parks until I saw Prospect: It’s vast, with these rolling hills of grass, and reminds me of Hyde Park in London. The meat is just insanely fresh — they get it from a local butcher who gets it from a sustainable farm upstate. I don’t mean to sound like a drunk, but [the East Village bar] 2A is where David and I hung out when we started dating nine years ago.Kitty-corner across the street from it is this little taco cart.New York isn’t known for its Mexican food, but this cart is real Cali-Mex.We’d have a drink in the bar, invite all our friends, and when we were all really buzzed, we’d get steamed goat or brisket tacos and bring them into the bar. When [her poetry book] “Dark Sparkler” came out two years ago, I did a wonderful “In Conversation” [event] with Ira Glass there. You can find books from the 1800s and from Allen Ginsberg’s Black Sparrow Press, which is now nonexistent.
